By the end of the day participants will have:
Greater clarity about their own role and responsibilities in safeguarding adults, and responding appropriately to others’ concerns about a person’s safety.
Covered the “information-gathering” aspects of Safeguarding Adults cases, looking at what should happen prior to the invoking of the Safeguarding Adults Policy.
Looked at how to conduct an interview and how to make decisions about what to do next.
More detailed guidance on ways to deal with an “alert” in this context, specifically focusing on issues of evidence preservation and contamination.
Clarity about inter-agency responsibilities in this key area of their work.
